I’m a freelance journalist, writer and blogger and I’ve been working for newspapers, magazines and websites for nearly 20 years.
Based in the North of England, you can see my work anywhere from Buzzfeed to the Warrington Guardian, the Independent to the Mail on Sunday.
I started as a newspaper journalist back in the 90s and I have contacts in the national press who employ me to find case studies and interview people for all kinds of stories.
As a magazine journalist, I’m commissioned to interview sporting personalities, actresses, TV stars and entrepreneurs.
But I’m equally at home writing consumer stories about Christmas sandwiches, carrier bags and payday loans, or press releases and web content for engineering firms.
Writing human interest stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things is what I enjoy the most, particularly if it involves animals – the pet industry is my niche.
I have a pet blog, www.thepawpost.co.uk, one of media expert Vuelio’s Top 10 Pet Blogs in 2017.
And having worked as a media consultant for many pet focused start ups, I decided to write a book, Publicity Tips for Pet Businesses, (https://amzn.to/2QZ3XEf) to help entrepreneurs understand the media and get visible.
Whether you need copy for a newspaper, magazine or website, or a writer to craft content for your website, blog, social media or newsletter, I can help.
