A scared Shih Tsu was nearly put to sleep – because he hated being groomed.
Little Sid, aged two, hated his coat being cleaned and clipped so much that he’d attack anyone who came near him with a comb or a pair of clippers.
But thanks to an appeal on Facebook he has a loving new home – with dog groomer Sian Bennett – and he’s slowly overcoming his fear of pampering too.
Sid’s former owner was in such despair she was going to have him put down. Thankfully, she contacted a rescue group on Facebook who appealed for a dog groomer to foster him to get him over his fear.
Sian, 47, from Stockton Heath in Warrington, Cheshire, who runs Well Groomed Dogs saw the little dog and stepped in to help.
I placed Sian’s story in the Sunday People in their dedicated pets page and in Sian’s local paper, the Warrington Guardian.
You can read it here in the Warrington Guardian and a PDF of the story in the Sunday People is below.
If you’re a small business and would like coverage, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
Sian gained fantastic coverage both locally and nationally with her story, which is great for her business and something she can share on her social media channels too.
