I was so pleased to be able to tell Gemma Oliver’s weight loss story in The Sun newspaper today.
Gemma was put in contact with me by the organisers of Miss Galaxy Universe who wanted to share her inspiring story as she is planning to take part in their competition in November.
Her journey is amazing. Bullied over her size at school, she comfort ate and grew more and more low about her size and even though she was working as a nurse, she still felt unable to address her weight issues.
Then, at 32, she turned her life around by joining a gym and adopting a healthy eating regime.
Gemma has since lost 14 stone, and runs half marathons. It was so lovely to tell her story, and she is thrilled with the outcome.
Having a text this morning from Gemma thanking me for sharing her experience in a sensitive way was rewarding for me too.
