Digital and content marketing agencies utilise my skills as an experienced and professional journalist to write well researched and interesting articles for brands.
My niche is the pet industry and I’ve worked with PRs from household names like Vets4Pets, Royal Canin, Purina, tails.com and Rosewood Pet.
Having an established journalist work on a story, article or campaign ensures the content that reaches newsdesks is well researched and written in the style of the publication, increasing the chances of the story being used.
It’s vital you target the right journalists who will be interested in what you have to say or risk weeks or even months of work ended up in the trash folder.
One of my recent clients was Dogiz – an app for dog owners and pet sitters. Founder Danny Djanogly was looking for mainstream coverage to raise awareness of his creation.
We put together a story about what set Dogiz apart from the hundreds of other pet sitting apps on the market and it appeared as a page lead story in the Sunday Mirror.
It focused on how detailed the app was, and I arranged for pet photographer Liz Gregg to photograph a pet owner and dog walker to demonstrate how it worked.
His story featured in the newspaper and online – a website with a reach of 30 million each month.
My main area of interest is the pet industry, so if you’re a PR consultant or agency looking for a journalist to employ to assist on a campaign, I’d love to hear from you.
