It’s Valentine’s Day on Sunday, supposedly the most romantic day of the year.
But if you’re lucky enough to unwrap a trendy candle, some fancy make up or a designer bag from your other half, watch out as it could be a fake.
Websites and markets are being flooded with knock off goods which are passed on to unwitting shoppers.
These include toxic Jo Malone candles, make up with ingredients that have been linked to cancer, exploding hair straighteners and perfume made from horse pee!
Along with photographer Nigel Bennett, I went along to the street market in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, to check out some of the fakes on offer for this feature for the Daily Star Sunday.
