There’s been such a demand for designer dog breeds in the last few years and this sadly means that unscrupulous breeders are operating too.
Regular readers will know many of my stories are highlighting the work of welfare organisations and I spoke to Vanessa Waddon about this worrying situation.
She highlighted an alarming new breed she had seen being sold online – Chinachugs – which is a mix between a Chinese Crested dog, a Chihuahua and a Pug.
Her interview along with expert comment from the Kennel Club on the breed, and advice to owners considering a hybrid dog from Jules Hamilton from the Hybrid Breeders Association, appeared in the Sunday Express.
